Knitting + Pear Cider

Montreal was gorgeous and immaculate. I will post some more pictures of our trip soon, but here is a cute pic of us with Coco for now. What is better than eating fruit bars on top of a mountain with crisp 70 degree weather in August?

Montreal

I finished Brooke's birthday scarf. It is so nice to be off the size 17 plastic needles and using my size 6 Addis again! This scarf was very quick (four hours tops), and was pure garter stitch. Of course it got more compliments than anything else I've ever made. Isn't that how it always is?

Novelty Scarf for Brooke

I enjoyed a knitting meetup with some of the
'Degenerate Knitters'. We drank delicious pear ciders, laughed so loudly we drew attention and got lots of knitting done.

Clapotis Progress

The Clapotis is 2/3 of the way done. I'm slightly enjoying it again, but it is boring me. At least until I get to relish in dropping the row of stitches every twelvth row.

Pear Cider

Isn't the color of the cider lovely? What a refreshing summery beverage to accompany our knitting festivities...

I must sign off, my friends. I'm off to Ft. Lauderdale for a long weekend with my family, and a 10 year high school reunion. It should be a riot and I'm looking forward to catching up with some friends. Take care!

The cider was delish and the company highly entertaining. We must do it again soon.

Have a blast at the reunion! Wonder who's bald and who's divorced with 3 kids...hehehehe

My sister made a scarf just like the one you made for your friend brooke and it really did look awesome. She gets so many compliments on it too!

Finally I've got a moment to catch up with you and your recent crafts! The market bag you posted about a few days back is great - love the color choice. And while I'm not so into novelty yarn myself, the scarf you made is cute, and perfect for south Florida. Your recent travels sound fun, too (I've been meaning to get to Montreal...) Oh, yeah - that wall graphic that you worked on for your friend's daughter is AWESOME. You've been quite busy!
