Linoleum Carving

Carving and printing with linoleum blocks and rubber stamps has been on my list of things to try for some time now. Mike bought me carving tools and rubber and linoleum blocks for my birthday in November.

It only took me a month to sit down and carve something.

First Try

Carving linoleum is a bit harder than I expected, but really satisfying to print your images. I can't wait to carve rubber stamps next!

Did I mention how much I love my little work area? I think everyone should have their own little space, no matter how small. I wouldn't use textured paper again, but I'm quite pleased with my first attempt.

Nope, textured paper does not work and please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Yes! I'm psyched that you're printing now! I may have to bust out my little kit that has been sitting unused since Christmas...

Looks great! Reminds me of the woodblock prints I did in school. I must say I like yours much better. (any type of wood carving was never my thing)
