Bluebird + Snowflakes
I was so busy baking batches of cookies and wrapping up last minute preparations to fly home to Florida, that I didn't get to wish anyone Merry Christmas! So a belated one to all of my pals who celebrate it. I hope you had a good one.
These snowflake cookies are the closest I'll be getting to wintry weather. It is hot and muggy in the low eighties in South Florida. It may sound nice to some of you, but it's kind of a downer for the holidays!
Mike and I kept it simple on the gift giving. We each bought music that we wanted, and made handmade ornaments for each other. Here's the one I made Mike. What fun they are to make!
I'll check in with you all soon!

Want me to mail you a bag of snow from Canada?
Cute cookies! Belated Merry Christmas wishes to you too!
Muggy, high 70's in Memphis. not the ideal Christmas weather, ya know the kind on the cards. Even LA got more winter-y weather than we did.
Great ornament. Merry belated Christmas + safe travels.
Sweet ornament! We had tons of snow in CT...first white Christmas in ages!
Miss you! Muffy and I are about to hop in the car and head back to Philly...YIPEEEEE!!!
Happy holidays to you, too! I agree, warm and muggy doesn't exactly say "Christmas" to me. That ornament is adorable. I think I'll make up a few before I pack away the decorations.
I love that bluebird! And those cookies look so good. The sprinkles are extra pretty. I know what you mean - I lived in Naples, FL one Christmas and it was a bit strange. Lights on palm trees were pretty though. Happy New Year!
we had freezing rain that turned all the snow to ice :(
But as I type, it's softly snowing here, which is really pretty.
Your ornament is adorable!
Happy New Year. I hope it's wonderful for you all.
