Friends and Visitors
I've been scarce again. I got to catch up with my cousin, Camille in Atlantic City, during her tour of the US from the Philippines. It was only fitting to dine on a last shared meal of steak and lobster, before tightening up my belt strap in this current financial situation.
Some old friends from college visited me last weekend as well. It's fun to rediscover your city, and see it through the eyes of others. And take cheesy photos in front of the Betsy Ross House.
Noticing this pretty grate in Old City.
Finally making it to the Eastern State Penitentary.
Seeing a new statue of Ben Franklin, with details of cut keys. Throwing a penny over Ben's grave for good luck.
Enjoying miniature painted wood statues at the Eastern State Penitentary, depicting life behind the prison walls.
Enjoying a free Bruce Springsteen show at the Obama Rally on a gorgeous day with friends.
Eating more ice cream past summertime. Did you even know that they make chocolate cones?
Side projects of illustration, that maybe I can show you soon! And of course, biting my nails until this election is over...

Hmmm I've never actually been inside Eastern States...looks spooky with out the halloween trappings.
Springsteen was mucho fun!
It looks great - thanks for sharing the photos! I saw some of the Springstein gig on youtube - jealous much!
looks like a great time.
how much fun it must have been to see springstein!
Still feel like a visitor in Nashville since I live 30 miles outside the city, and despite working downtown for 3 1/2 years.
OMG a trip to the pen??? Any day! any time! (I have this obsession with shives- facinating what people can do with a little bit of nothing + a whole lot of time)
Bruce. Well, I've already had my say about that (jealous!!!)
Do the cones have sugar? Hum...then I don't want to know about them (but would probably stare + remember the long ago days when I ate chocolate covered cones).
Good times
